Sunday Independent to sue Britney Spears?

The Sunday Independent is talking about taking legal action against Britney Spears after she tried to sue the Irish newspaper for suggesting that her marriage was in trouble.

Spears filed for divorce from her husband, Kevin Federline, last week.

The Sunday Independent printed an interview with Spears earlier this year after which the couple took legal action.

The paper "properly resisted" the claim but at what it claims was "considerable expense".

Sunday Independent lawyer Simon McAleese says that the celebrity couple "must therefore pay the price of their fraud."
