Cré na Cille comes to Dublin stage

Taibhdhearc na Gaillimhe's production of Máirtín Ó Cadhain's debut novel 'Cré na Cille' is to open at the axis arts centre in Ballymun later this month.

Adapted for the stage by Macdara Ó Fátharta, 'Cré na Cille' was criticised when published for offering a different perspective on Gaeltacht life.

It is considered by many to be the greatest novel written in Irish.
