Work for Turner Prize 2006 on display
The work of the artists nominated for the most debated contemporary arts award, the Turner Prize, opens to the public today at Tate Britain.
This year's nominees for the accolade, given to outstanding projects by UK artists aged under 50, are Rebecca Warren, Mark Titchner, Phil Collins and Tomma Abts.
The judges will name the winner of the £25,000 prize on 4 December in a televised ceremony broadcast on Channel 4.

The work ranges from video and live installations from Collins, Warren's sculptures, abstract paintings courtesy of Abts and Titchner's hybrid installations.
Previous winners have included conceptual artist Martin Creed, Damien Hirst's pickled sheep, Chris Ofili and his elephant dung and transvestite potter Grayson Perry.
