Knightley to have time of her life

'Pirates of the Caribbean' star Keira Knightley is to star in 'The Best Time of Our Lives', a drama whose screenplay was written by her mother, playwright Sharman Macdonald.

Production Weekly reports that the film will be directed by John Maybury, who worked with Knightley on 'The Jacket'.

'The Best Time of Our Lives' tells the true story of the relationships between poet Dylan Thomas, his wife, Caitlin, childhood friend Vera Phillips (Knightley) and her future husband William Killick.

The film is due to begin shooting in April.

Knightley has been attached to the project since its inception four years ago.
