Singer Chris Brown joins The OC

R&B singer Chris Brown is to star in the fourth season of teen drama 'The OC'.

MTV News reports that Brown will appear in approximately seven episodes of the new series, which begins shooting next month.

Speaking about his character on the show, the 17-year-old said that he would be playing a "geek".

The singer said the show's producers contacted his management to ask if he would be interested in appearing in the series.
