Apprentice winner Michelle loses baby

'The Apprentice' winner Michelle Dewberry has lost the baby she was expecting with fellow contestant Syed Ahmed, her spokesman has confirmed.

Dewberry was taken to hospital suffering from stomach pains at the beginning of the week. After a series of tests she was told that she had lost the baby.

A spokesman said: "Michelle and the baby's father, Syed Ahmed, are both extremely upset and are currently supporting each other through this difficult period."

The couple met while filming the most recent series of the hit BBC Two show.

Dewberry won 'The Apprentice' in May, beating rival Ruth Badger in the final. She took a £100,000-a-year job as head of Xenon Green, a company set up by businessman Alan Sugar to dispose of unwanted computer equipment.
