Reality TV show to find next Pussycat Doll

The next Pussycat Doll member will be recruited through a new eight-part series called 'The Search for the Next Pussycat Doll'.

The hopefuls will live together and hone their skills with the help of choreographer Robin Antin who founded the troupe.

The winning contestant will join the current line-up of six members.

The group began as dancers in 1995 and released their first record last year.

The Pussycat Dolls first made a name for themselves by inviting celebrity guests to take part in their raunchy stage shows. Stars who joined the ensemble on stage include Drew Barrymore, Britney Spears, Charlize Theron, Nicollette Sheridan, Denise Richards and Gwen Stefani.

The series will air in the US during the 2006-2007 season and will be produced by Charlie's Angels director and The OC creator McG.
