Johansson joins Portman's new film

Scarlett Johansson is to star opposite Natalie Portman and Eric Bana in the historical drama 'The Other Boleyn Girl'.

Variety reports that the film is based on the historical novel of the same name by Philippa Gregory and focuses on sisters Mary and Anne Boleyn, with Bana playing King Henry VIII.

The film will be directed by Justin Chadwick, who also helmed the BBC's award-winning recent adaptation of Charles Dickens' 'Bleak House'.

'The Other Boleyn Girl' is due to begin shooting in London in the autumn.
