Fleeshman to take a break from Corrie

'Coronation Street' star Richard Fleeshman is reportedly planning to take a break from the soap to concentrate on his singing career.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Fleeshman, who recently won 'Soapstar Superstar', will leave 'Coronation Street' in September when his current contract expires.

According to the report, the actor said: "I'm really looking forward to the future, because so many exciting offers have come along.

"Music has always been my passion, but I love acting. It would be great if I could combine the two careers."

Fleeshman reportedly turned down several record deals after winning 'Soapstar Superstar' because he wanted to write his own songs before recording an album.
