Hilary Swank and Chad Lowe to divorce
Oscar-winning actress Hilary Swank and her Emmy-winning husband Chad Lowe have decided to divorce after separating last year.
According to People magazine, the couple's lawyer Jeffrey Bernstein confirmed the news, saying: "Hilary Swank and Chad Lowe have jointly decided to divorce. They continue to be friends and have the utmost respect for one another."
Swank, who won Oscars for her performances in 'Million Dollar Baby' and 'Boys Don't Cry', married Lowe in 1997.
Lowe won an Emmy in 1993 for his portrayal of AIDS sufferer Jesse McKenna in the television show 'Life Goes On'.
