Ritter announces album, Irish tour

Josh Ritter has announced details of his new album and a series of intimate live shows in Ireland.

'The Animal Years', Ritter's third album, will be released on Independent Records in Ireland on 3 March 2006.

Among the songs set to feature on the 11-track album are: 'Girl in the War', 'Lillian Egypt', 'Thin Blue Flame', 'Wolves' and 'Idaho'. 

To celebrate the release of the album, Ritter will tour around Ireland in March.

He will play the following shows:

Sunday 5 March - Blackbox, Galway
Tuesday 7 March - An Grianán, Letterkenny
Wednesday 8 March - Dolans, Limerick
Thursday 9 March - St James' Church, Dingle
Friday 10 March - Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin
Sunday 12 March - Everyman Palace Theatre, Cork
