Comedian Carr to star as M16 agent

Comedian Jimmy Carr has landed a part as an M16 agent alongside Ewan McGregor in new thriller 'Stormbreaker'.

Other members of the cast include Alicia Silverstone, Oscar nominee Sophie Okonedo, Bill Nighy and Mickey Rourke.

Of his role, Carr told The Mirror newspaper: "I get cast because I'm something between Hugh Grant and Mr Bean, obviously closer to Mr Bean in the looks department."

The story, which follows teenage spy Alex Rider, is based on several books by Anthony Horowitz.

Movie bosses have unveiled unknown 15-year-old Alex Pettyfer as the star of the blockbuster.

He beat 500 other hopefuls to land the lead role.

The books have sold eight million copies worldwide and been translated into 28 languages.
