Van Outen & Parker set for This Morning slots

Former 'Big Breakfast' presenter Denise Van Outen and ex-'EastEnders' actor Chris Parker are set for new television slots as part of the summer team on 'This Morning'.

Van Outen will present the show with Richard Bacon for six weeks in July and August, while Fern Britton, Phillip Schofield and Lorranine Kelly take holidays.

Parker, who played the part of Spencer Moon in 'EastEnders', will present television gossip reports on the show each Tuesday.

This will be the first time in the ITV show's 18-year history that it has remained on-air throughout the summer.

Van Outen, who is currently starring in 'Where the Heart Is', said: "After being a fan of the show for many years I'm really excited about taking over the sofa for summer and working with Richard."

Richard Bacon, a Capital Radio DJ, also previously worked on the 'Big Breakfast'.

'This Morning's editor Alan Rook said: "We're thrilled to have secured such a sensational line-up of presenters."
