Moore joining Owen in Cuarón film

Julianne Moore is to star opposite Clive Owen in 'Children of Men', an adaptation of the PD James book.

The film, directed by 'Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban' helmer Alfonso Cuarón, is set in a future society where people are no longer able to have children.

When the first woman becomes pregnant in more than 20 years, Owen's character is assigned to protect her.

Time Out reports that production on the film is due to begin in September.

Owen can currently be seen on Irish cinema screens in 'Sin City'.
