Affleck ready for director's chair

Ben Affleck is set to make his directorial debut on a new film called 'Gone, Baby Gone'.

Variety reports that the film is based on the book of the same name by 'Mystic River' author Dennis Lehane.

It tells the story of two private detectives searching for a kidnapped four-year-old girl in Boston.

Shooting on the film will begin in Boston in the autumn; Affleck will not star in the film.
