ER's La Salle acquires film rights
Humble Journey Films, the company owned by former 'ER' star Eriq La Salle, has acquired the film rights to the novel 'Beneath the Marble Sky: A Novel of the Taj Mahal'.
Variety says that the John Shors book tells the story of the eldest daughter of the emperor who built the Taj Mahal.
La Salle has teamed up with the India-based company Cinemaya Media to develop the movie.
The actor, best known for playing Dr Peter Benton in 'ER', recently signed a deal to appear in the pilot episode of the new legal drama series 'Conviction'.
