Former ER star for new legal drama

Eriq La Salle, who played Dr Peter Benton in 'ER', is to star in the pilot episode of a new legal drama called 'Conviction'.

The Hollywood Reporter says that 'Conviction' follows a team of lawyers who prosecute major cases.

La Salle will play a veteran Assistant District Attorney.

The pilot episode reunites La Salle with the producers of 'ER', Warner Bros Television.
