Sabrina ready for big screen debut

'Sabrina, The Teenage Witch', the comic which spawned the hit TV series, is now heading for the big screen.

The Hollywood Reporter says that the comic's creators, Archie Comics Entertainment, have inked a deal with Paramount Pictures for a live-action movie that will follow the adventures of the teenage tearaway.

Commenting on the film, Archie Comics president Allan Grafman said: "While the movie will be empowering for girls, it is going to have the action and science-fiction fantasy that appeals to boys."

There is no information at present on cast or director.
