Kingsley gets teeth into next role

Oscar winner Ben Kingsley is to play the vampire villain in the big screen adaptation of hit video game 'BloodRayne'.

The Hollywood Reporter says that the film stars 'Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines' actress Kristanna Loken as the half-vampire, half-human heroine who must battle Kingsley's character Kagan in order to save the world from the living dead.

The $47m movie is set to begin filming in Romania later this month with Uwe Boll, who brought games 'House of the Dead' and 'Alone in the Dark' to the big screen, in the director's chair.

The sequel to the 'BloodRayne' video game will be released in October.
