Da Vinci Code gets film adaptation

Dan Brown's bestselling novel, 'The Da Vinci Code', is to be adapted for film.

An international murder mystery, 'The Da Vinci Code' is the second of Brown's books to feature the character of Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon.

According to The Boston Herald, George Clooney, Russell Crowe, Tom Hanks and Hugh Jackman are all in the running for the role of Langdon.

Oscar-winning Akiva Goldsman ('A Beautiful Mind') will write the script for director Ron Howard.
