Gary Oldman for Longest Yard remake?

British actor Gary Oldman is in talks to join the cast of a remake of 'The Longest Yard'.

Already confirmed for the film are Adam Sandler, Chris Rock and Burt Reynolds.

Reynolds starred in the 1974 original comedy drama; this time round, Sandler will take the role of  the imprisoned former pro quarterback who is asked by a warden to put a team of cons together to play the guards.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Oldman has been approached to play the warden.

'The Longest Yard will be directed by Peter Segal ('50 First Dates', 'Anger Management').

Oldman plays the role of Sirius Black in 'Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban' which opens in Ireland next Monday, 31 May.
