Blue star Lee Ryan in court today

Blue pop star Lee Ryan has appeared at Horseferry Road Magistrates' Court in London to face assault charges following an incident outside a nightclub.

Ryan, 20, was charged with two counts of common assault and one of criminal damage. He denies all charges.

Prosecutor Mubeena Cockar-Khan told the court that there was an incident involving a group of photographers as Ryan left the 10 Rooms nightclub.

She said: "He (Ryan) told them to stop, they did not, he became aggressive and deliberately smashed two cameras belonging to two of the victims."
