Silent Hill set for movie makeover

Konami's massive hit 'Silent Hill' is the latest video game to get a movie makeover.

The film will be directed by Christophe Gans, who previously helmed French action horror 'Brotherhood of the Wolf'.

Speaking about the project, Gans said: "'Silent Hill' is a groundbreaking game with an atmosphere that has mesmerised millions of gamers all over the world - it is scary and clever. I am very proud to be associated with this game."

Konami will be closely involved in bringing the horror game to the screen - working on the design of all the monsters, creatures and characters.

The gaming giant is also looking at turning more of its hit titles into movies.
