Blue's singer Lee gets driving ban

Lee Ryan, singer with pop group Blue, has been banned from driving for 18 months and fined £2,000 after pleading guilty to drink-driving.

The 20-year-old was warned he would face jail if he broke the ban.

Ryan was nearly twice the legal alcohol limit when stopped in his Porsche by police in London on 11 August.

He also pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention, was fined a further £250 and had his licence endorsed.
