Lord of the Rings for London stage
A musical version of 'The Lord of the Rings' is coming to the London stage.
It is set to open in Spring 2005, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the complete publication of JRR Tolkien's trilogy.
Speaking at a press conference yesterday, West End producer Kevin Wallace said the production would cost $13m.
It will feature a 50-member cast and a full orchestra will also be used.
The third film in the 'Lord of the Rings' series, 'The Return of the King', will be released at Christmas.
