T Rex drummer Mickey Finn dies

Percussionist Mickey Finn of 70s band T Rex has died in hospital in south London. He was 56.

Finn teamed up with T Rex frontman Marc Bolan in 1969 to replace his original bongo player Steve Took.

He performed on hits such as 'Ride A White Swan' and 'Children Of The Revolution' but quit the band in 1975.

Finn went on to front and tour with a new incarnation of the band - Mickey Finn's T Rex Band - following the death of singer/songwriter Bolan 25 years ago.

Finn is thought to have suffered from kidney and liver problems, although the exact cause of his death on Saturday has not been announced.
