'Sex and the City' star Sarah Jessica Parker and her actor husband Matthew Broderick are expecting their first child.

The 37-year-old actress is due to give birth in the autumn, according to the New York Daily Post.

Parker and Broderick's marriage had been the subject of media speculation since they tied the knot in 1997.

The fifth series of 'Sex and the City' is due to start in the US in June and will be screened in the UK later in the year.
