Arts Council announces €39 million in funding

The Arts Council has announced awards and grants to individuals and arts organisations totalling over ¤39 million.

91 artists and over 500 arts organisations will benefit. Besides confirming ongoing funding of ¤15.7 million for 61 companies, the Council has also offered one-year grants of ¤22.5 million to more than 400 others for their activities in 2002.

Artists including Dorothy Cross, Ronan Guilfoyle and Gerard Stembridge are to benefit under newly restructured arts projects and commission awards.
