Brass Eye say they did not trick boy

The makers of the paedophile spoof programme 'Brass Eye' have denied

"tricking" an eight-year-old boy into appearing in it.

A Channel 4 spokesman said legitimate steps had been taken to secure the youngster's involvement.

The programme prompted a massive number of complaints to the TV watchdog.

An article in the Daily Mail newspaper quoted the head of a stage school who accused the makers of 'Brass Eye' of tricking his pupil into appearing.
