Ron Howard Ron Howard is a director who has been immersed in the world of television and film since before he could walk. He was only 18 months old when he got his first role and he also played the character of Richie Cunningham in 'Happy Days'. Since then he has become a sucessful director with films like 'Splash', 'Far and Away' and 'Appollo Thirteen' to his credit. His latest is the Oscar-nominated 'A Beautiful Mind'.
Russell Crowe With both the Golden Globe and BAFTA awards under his belt for best actor it's hardly worth placing a bet on the likelyhood of Russell Crowe making it a hat-trick come Oscar night for 'A Beautiful Mind'.
Flora Montgomery Actors frequently complain about the enforced 'resting' they have to do during their careers. One woman who has few complaints in that department is Flora Montgomery. Her big breakthrough came in Roddy Doyle's film 'When Brendan Met Trudy' and she's been extremely busy ever since. Tomorrow night she opens in the Gate Theatre in 'Two Plays After' by Brian Friel.
