U2 open a nightclub, The Kitchen in the Clarence Hotel in Dublin. The report shows interior of  The Kitchen before the crowds arrive. A few people seated while bar staff prepare for the night ahead. A barmaid is pouring champagne.

The manager of the club Nodd McDonagh talks about the type of crowd he hopes will use The Kitchen.

Outside Macnas impersonators of U2 kept onlookers entertained.

The band arrive seperately Adam Clayton, Larry Mullen, Edge and then Bono and his wife Ali Hewson.

Bonos says he hopes the people who come to the club will be cool enough to leave him alone and they will be the sort of people you want to hang out with. There will be no VIP room.
