An extract from a special programme 'Bells and Blue Berets' looking at Christmas for Irish soldiers and their families who are serving with the United Nations. The RTÉ reporter John Skehan talks to Irish soldiers involved with United Nations peace keeping activities in the Holy Land and Jordan.

Christmas is a volatile time in the Middle East. John Skehan talks to three wives of soldiers who are all enjoying their experiences. The only disadvantage to living in Jordan, according to one wife Miriam Flanagan is the schooling . All have visited the holy sites in Jerusalem and Bethlehem.
