RTÉ News reports on on the rise and fall of the Green Party following the results of the 2011 general election. The reports charts the fortune of the Green Party and shows party members such as Roger Garland, Eamon Ryan, Dan Boyle, Trevor Sargent, Patricia McKenna and Deirdre De Burca.

The party made a significant electoral breakthrough in 2007, gaining six seats. The Green Party then went into coalition with Fianna Fáil.

The 2011 election was a disaster for the Green Party when they failed to return a single deputy to the Dáil.
