Eithne Fitzgerald and Dick Spring of the Labour Party are also interviewed. While Joe Jacobs Fianna Fáil chairman also offers his opinions.
A report from RTÉ's current affairs series 'Prime Time' from 10 December 1992.
After the General Election of 5 November 1992, the Labour Party was the big winner, returning 33 deputies. Labour held the balance of power and, following long negotiations, formed a coalition with Fianna Fáil. Albert Reynolds was elected Taoiseach. Many supporters of both parties found the formation of this coalition hard to reconcile.
'Prime Time' is RTÉ's main current affairs series and was first broadcast in 1998 and continues today
