RTÉ News followed Jack Lynch for three days as he covers over a thousand miles campaigning for the 1977 general election.

Meeting the people, he discusses the price of fish fingers and appeals to the thousands of young people who would be voting for the first time since the voting age had been reduced to 18. He visits Dun Laoghaire County Dublin, Mouthrath and Kenmare in County Kerry.
