Tom McCaughren reports on the aftermath of a bomb explosion at RTÉ. The report shows damage to the television studio building, workmen clearing glass and debris.
Tom McCaughren gives details on the bomb and the damage caused. Various shots of damage and workmen beginning repairs. An army officer examines the spot where the bomb was planted.
The explosion happened at 1.30AM when only a skeleton staff was on luckily nobody was hurt.
The reporter also assures children that the Wanderly Wagon (from the children's series of the same name) had not been damaged.
Percy Christie, General Services Manager comments on the extent of the damage and hopes for completion of restoration work.
A RTÉ News report on the aftermath of a bomb explosion at the RTÉ television studios in Donnybrook. The explosion took place at 1.30AM and despite the damage to the buildings nobody was hurt. Broadcast 5 August 1969.
