Radio Éireann Symphony Orchestra performed the first concert in the Promenade Concert series at the Gaiety Theatre on 11 January 1953.
'Triple Fantasy' by Walter Beckett was performed at the Gaiety Prom on the 7th November 1954 by the Orchestra, led by Renzo Marchionni and conducted by Milan Horvat.
Other Gaiety Prom performances featured conductors Pierre Michel Le Comte, Lieutenant-Colonel J.M. Doyle, Winifrid Zillig, Milan Horvat and soloists Charles Lynch, James Johnson, Francois d'Albert, Gwen Catley, Jaroslav Janacek and France Ellegaard.
