    On the publication of 'Human Chain', Heaney's twelfth and final collection of poetry, Pat Kenny asks him about the sense of mortality in the book. Heaney says he had a stroke four years ago and felt very lucky to be alive. He was returned to full health, but realised his life was too busy and cancelled a lot of events, which did him the world of good.
