Michael Slavin has been an equestrian correspondent since the 1960s. He has written for national and provincial newspapers and international sporting journals. He is also the author of 'Show jumping Legends Ireland 1868-1998' and co-author of ‘Ambassadors on Horseback’. For over 20 years now, Michael Slavin has commentated on show jumping events at home and abroad for RTÉ Radio Sport.
