    The Republic of Ireland faced England in the first match of the EURO 1988 finals in Stuttgart, Germany. Under the management of Jack Charlton, Ray Houghton scores for Ireland bringing victory.

    This clip covers the start of the game when Ireland scores a goal. It captures Noel King laughing in sheer delight and the tension of the closing moments as England presses for an equaliser. The clip then cuts to the winning moments when the whiste is blown on a vitrious Ireland.
