'Report', due to be broadcast the same week, also examined the editorial problems facing Irish journalists and newspapers.

The article states: 'This week's Report programme looks at the industry and finds that, while our papers are a pretty accurate mirror-image of the community, editorially-speaking, some of them do face a reasonably serious money crisis, and that it's on the cards that big changes may come in the near future'.

This article appeared in the RTÉ Guide on 4 June 1971 and coincided with the broadcast the same week of a report on the programme 'Report' which examines the state of the newspaper industry. 'Report' talks to journalists, editors, and proprietors about the shape of Irish journalism.
