A RTV Guide reader writes to the letters page to commend Kavanagh’s “colourful approach and original slant couched in the whimsical language of Irish whit”. Another reader writes an opposing view of Kavanagh’s column arguing that his views are outdated.

The letters page offered an opportunity for RTÉ viewers, listeners and readers to provide feedback on RTÉ output.

'The RTV Guide' provided listings of television and radio programmes. The first edition was published on 1 December 1961. In July 1966 the magazine changed name to become 'The RTÉ Guide' and is still published on a weekly basis.
