    In the first of an occasional series on Irish writers, Patrick Kavanagh is put under the spotlight. Commenting on the broadcast of this film, Kavanagh comments in the RTÉ Guide: “At all events I do hope, that you my dear people, will turn on your sets on the 10th of the 10th and forgive me my trespasses.”
