Gerry Fitt, Republican Labour Party MP, is critical of the Nationalist Party attitude to partition.

Fitt says that the Republican Labour Party believes in "the eventual reunification of this country and the uniting of the working class from Antrim to Cork".He also says Unionist policies are all the same but describes Captain O'Neill’s type of unionism as slightly blander than that of Paisley.
