Gerry Fitt MP addresses a crowd in a nationalist area of Derry and calls on them to defend their property against the police.

Fitt says he is hoping for an emergency recall of parliament so that Westminster can discuss the problems going on in Derry. He also expresses a lack of confidence in the Stormont parliament. Fitt states that if the people can't be defended by the forces of law and order, then they must defend themselves.
