John Hume, vice-chairman of the Derry Citizens' Action Committee (DCAC), asks people not to be provoked, nor to give provocation to anyone.
Hume condemns any sectarian acts in the city and disregards anyone who does so as being part of any civil rights movement. Hume argues that sectarianism has not reared its head in the civil rights movement to date and feels that it is unlikely to do so.
