A filmed insert for the programme 'Nighthawks'. The report shows interviews with four young Irish people living in Paris intercut with shots of the Arc de Triomphe, the Paris metro, the Eiffel tower, and the Louvre.
The interviews were filmed in Kitty O'Shea's pub Rue des Capucines, Paris. The subjects discussed are, working and living in Paris, hours, money and holidays. Short discussion on French television which two of the Irish people describe as being "awful".
A young Irish man is asked the difference between French women and Irish women. Two young Irish women talk about French men who they describe as being good looking, well dressed but not always faithful.
'Nighthawks' was a programme that was set in a bar/cafe where the presenter Shay Healy was also the proprieter. The content was a mixture of comedy sketches, interviews, music performances and music videos.'Nighthawks' was broadcast between 1988 and 1992 and went out three nights a week.
The report shown here was filmed in Paris and was first shown on 7 February 1989.
