A sodden Clones is the venue as Tyrone beat Down to win the Ulster Football Final.

A Peter Canavan goal scored early in the second half separated Tyrone from Down at the end of the Ulster Football Final. Tyrone had started the game brightly and were three points up before Down could register their first score with a point from play after 13 minutes. Yet four late points from Down meant that they went into the half time break a point down 0-06 to 0-05.

Tyrone got a great start to the second half with a point from Gerard Cavlan before Ciaran McBride played Peter Canavan through to score his goal. Greg Blaney scored a point to narrow the gap to two with seven minutes remaining. Tyrone's three point lead was restored with a point from Pascal Canavan. One last gasp attack almost got Down's Mickey Linden in on goal but he blazed his shot wide.
