Conrad International announce plans for a new hotel at Earlsfort Terrace in Dublin.
A five star luxury hotel is to be built on a vacant site opposite the National Concert Hall in Dublin. The new hotel will be built by a consortium including Conrad International and a number of Irish financial institutions at a cost of £18 million. Other hotel groups are believed to have looked at the site in the past and decided that it was not economically viable to run a luxury hotel of this size in Dublin.
Eric Hilton of the Conrad Group says they hope to tap into the large Irish American market to bring visitors to Dublin.
We think it gives us an opportunity of bringing a tremendous amount of the upper income type of people here to Dublin.
