As the Christmas toy market gets into full swing, we take a look back 25 years when two young Kildare inventors and a Roscommon manufacturer hoped to capture a corner of the market with a new board game.

The game goes under the name of 'Euro Challenge'.

The report shows the new board game being put through its paces around a Roscommon fireside.

One of the games inventors Sandra Burrell talks about the potential for employment that the new game could provide. Padraig Kane, Director of Fernhill Games, comments on how great ideas can come from London, New York, Athy or Roscommon. Michael Spellman, Managing Director of Fernhill Games, predicts that the game will become a success across Europe. Roscommon County Development Manager, Tom Lynch, sees the product as having great market opportunities beyond Ireland.
